In recent years there has been a steady increase in the number of unauthorised signs sited within the highway boundary across much of the County road network. The Council has also been receiving an increasing number of complaints from the public about the clutter caused by these signs. The majority of the unauthorised signs are advertising commercial ventures such as public houses, tea-shops, sales, garden centres and properties for sale, as well as regular events such as car boot sales, and less frequent non-commercial or charitable events, such as village fĂȘtes and festivals. Therefore we would like you to read through the consultation documents and read over the guidance notes on "Advertising Boards and Displays of Goods on the Highway in Herefordshire" and the "Signs Placed within the Highway Boundary in Herefordshire". Please feed back any comments/ opinions or thoughts on the guidance notes direct to Stewart Barton (details below).
This consultation has now closed and is awaiting the formal response. If you would like to keep abreast with any news, then please contact Stewart Barton (details below).
